Li Xiaozhijian
Xiao naturally took two aspects of Chinese ink painting and Tibetan Buddhism into concern in both his life and works, looking for possible forms either generated from within or inspired by outside. Chinese ink art whose history is closely integrated with Buddhist that ultimately crystallize in the manifestation and purification of the sense of beauty. Xiao is aspired to grasp the essence of the Buddhist view to generate an always contemporary, lively, truthful form today whose creative force is generated from within that surpasses temporal references. He acknowledges a priority still in art and in particular pictorial art, rather than in religion. Since Xiao believes these two aspects come into one in aesthetic appearances.
